Saw all the lovely pictures Aamir, stunning colours, If nature cannot humble me what else can ? only 30% of species are above water, rest under water. and we do not know them all.

Thanks rauf. Yes, this is the part of nature we neglect to see and the part of nature we are unconsciously driving to the point of extinction. This aquarium is making all possible effort to save some of the near extinct species which cannot otherwise survive in the polluted waters. I love this place, i feel sad that these species are confined to limited spaces, but i feel happy at the same time that they are being taken care of

hi ajay, thanks for the compliments. Yes, the sea star was really cool, but very hard and rough to touch. They move really slow, so you can be sure they would be the last thing to attack you under water. lol
the only black pearl i am interested now is of Jack Sparrow 😉 Can’t wait to see that movie. Did you see Pirates of the Caribbean?

It’s sad to know that Global warming is killing under water creatures and wild life. The pictures are beautiful! I named one of my cats Nemo 🙂

hi kathy, yes. Global warming is a killer. Dumping to the bay is also a killer which we all must stop at once. If we continue to do so, the only place where we would find such beautiful species is online because they would have been extinct in the sea. Hope the heat is treating you well. Its frickin hot here.

Gorgeous pics, bro !! seen them before (still have the CD you sent me with those pics) but they don’t fail to fascinate me when i look at them now. I loved the pics of the colourful star fishies lying on the rocks. Lovely colours !! great job *hugs*

How do you keep the flash from reflecting on the glass? They are beautiful. How are you doing? Keeping busy I see!

Hi Frida, my apologies for not commenting on your blog. Been having a crazy schedule off late. As for your question…
I shot 99% of those pictures in manual mode with flash turned OFF. I kept the camera lens as close as possible to the glass wall to avoid the reflections of people and background light getting into the picture. If you see the octopus pic closely, you would know what i mean.
In general, I never use flash.
I hate using flash for the following reasons…
1. The mood of the picture is lost
2. Pictures appear flat
3. Soft edges are sharpened and picture is overexposed
4. flash is not effective if subject is beyond 10 feet
5. flash is not good for kids and animals
i can go on and on talking about this, but dont wish to bore you 😉
